Arlington, VA. Position may be performed remotely from a homeoffice located within the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria,DC-VA-MD-WV metropolitan statistical area. Employee willreport to Vericol, LLC’s headquarters at 2809 N EdisonStreet, Arlington, VA 22207.

$118,040 – $156,000/yr

Founded in 2019, Vericol has built on its founder’s expertise andmarket familiarity to build a diverse business in the governmentcontracting industry. Vericol’s founder and CEO has held suchroles as Chief Growth Officer and Chief Data Scientist for ITcontractors serving the federal government. Vericol’s business isin three areas, as described below.

Business Consulting Services

Vericol provides consulting services to government contractors tohelp them win work with the federal government. This includesorganizational design, process improvement, and policydevelopment. Vericol also helps companies with strategic salesefforts on particular contract opportunities, including marketresearch, solution architecture, and proposal writing.

Data Architecture and Strategy

Vericol offers data architecture and data strategy consulting forcommercial companies and government customers. Vericol’s workincludes data reconciliation of enrollment data discrepanciesbetween the federal government and insurance companies thatparticipate in the Affordable Care Act/Healthcare.gov. Vericolalso works directly with commercial clients to identifyopportunities to extract hidden value from their operational andtransactional data.

Business Applications for Government Contractors and Professional Services Firms

Vericol is developing a suite of software tools for governmentcontractors, beginning with a sales pipeline managementapplication and a staffing assignment system. Vericol has Betaversions of both applications.

Job Duties

• Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to support business decision-making, strategic planning, and operational improvements
• Develop and implement analytical techniques and applications to transform raw data into meaningful insights using data-oriented programming languages and visualization tools
• Apply statistical models and advanced analytics to generate predictive solutions and actionable outcomes
• Design and create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with clients and teams to understand data requirements and support automation, machine learning, and product development initiatives

Job Requirements

• Education & Work Experience: Master’s degree in Data Analytics Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a closely related engineering degree, plus 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a related role
• Skillset: Experience in Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, and Data Governance and Management. Proficiency in programming languages and tools including Python, R, SQL, Spark, Snowflake, AWS, and Tableau
